Is She or He Cheating on Me?

When it comes to suspected infidelity, you are likely feeling confused, hurt, and uncertain. These situations are often extremely complicated and emotionally-fraught. It can be difficult to know what to do when you suspect a loved one of being unfaithful. A simple DNA test can be an incredibly useful tool. Our infidelity DNA testing allows you to determine the conclusive, indisputable truth so that you can make the right decisions for yourself and your relationship. Suspecting a partner of cheating is painful. DNA infidelity testing is a science-based solution for finding out if someone may have been unfaithful. Using fabric you provide from underwear, other types of clothing, or sheets, our tests can confirm or deny the presence of male/female DNA. The in-house forensic experts at Truth DNA are experienced in detecting even the smallest traces of DNA. Our team provides the targeted and accurate answers you need to make an informed decision about your relationship’s future.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to state regulations, testing is not available in: Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Vermont.

We offer two infidelity DNA tests: Our experts can help you decide which one you need—every consultation is free, private, and completely confidential.

What needs to be tested?

  • Undergarment or other personal items

  • Buccal swab reference sample

Turnaround Time

  • 10 business days

Nonchain of custody requirements

In a nonchain of custody test, samples are collected by the patients themselves. Results of this test are for personal knowledge only and may not be used for legal purposes.

  • Personal Item(s) should be sent in a paper bag.  The use of a plastic bag could lead to mold growth, which degrades DNA.

  • The sample should be marked in the areas that need to be tested

  • Items will be cut and processed in the laboratory.  If returned to the customer, they should be notified that they will not be returned in the original condition.

Standard Detection
  • This test detects whether a standard DNA profile is present

  • Results indicate whether there is enough useable DNA for a comparison to a reference sample (buccal swab)

  • This test should be selected if looking for any DNA, male and/or female

  • This test does not include the comparison of the DNA profile to the reference sample (See DNA Comparison Test)

Y Chromosome Detection
  • This test detects whether male DNA is present and will not detect any female DNA

  • Results indicate whether there is enough useable male DNA for a comparison to a reference sample (buccal swab)

  • We may not be able to distinguish the male DNA from those of other male biological relatives (brothers, fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or male cousins).  YSTR profiles are identical in males of the same paternal lineage.

  • This test does not include the comparison of the DNA profile to the reference sample (See DNA Comparison Test)
